It is helpful to educate young people about STEM topics and career pathways if they are thinking about becoming HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists, which have stringent entry requirements. Claudia hopes to bring either an apprentice BMS or a biomed student on a placement so they can discuss the various routes.In the classroom, we might introduce virtual reality headgear for phlebotomy arms, clinical lab testing, and practice urine tests. Starting with a talk, I would like to go on to interactive exercises, fundamental clinical scenarios, and mock exams.
